Freddy See an upcoming DJ/Remixer from the beautiful and historical Landscape city Salerno which gave the first medical school of the world “Schola Medica Salernitana”
With one of it’s kind Guestmix he did on Rave Radio episode on 9th Jan 2015 for EDM Lovers India he has become one of the names that needs little introduction to our followers. We were once again lucky to catch up with him for a personal interview which he obliged gladly which went on to be a walk with him rather than an interview.
His career began in 2011 with some remixes and one release called Dirty, out in November and supported by many international DJ’s such as Congorock, Promise Land, Matthias Menck and others. In February 2012 the first important achievement: he released his second track called Black Swan on Cr2 Records, which appeared in the huge Miami 2012 Compilation mixed by MYNC and Nicky Romero. Summer 2012 started really good for him with a remix for the international dj/producer Alex Guesta, and “Dreamers”, a new track released by Cr2 and featured on Space Ibiza Compilation.
With his hard work he has already got support from the likes of Hardwell, David Guetta, Dada Life, Nicky Romero, Sidney Samson, Yves V and many others.
From Salerno to being a producer/remixer on the big international stage as a DJ. How does it feel?
Freddy See – Well, it’s amazing. I have a lot of things to learn still, but I can definitely say that the everyday struggle and the hard work always pay off!
Freddy See – Yes I started with Cr2 Records, Virus T Studio and Be Yourself. These labels helped a lot by giving me loads of tips and advice on music and my career overall! Then I met Yves V, and we both released Karma, on the legendary Armada Music.
Your personal Experience working with Yves V on Karma?Freddy See – We got in contact after the release date of my track Liquid. He was playing it in all of his sets, so we chatted for like 2 hours and we immediately decided to create a super track together.
Yves is one of the best artists that I ever met in the game, so humble, talented and always opened to newcomers !
Freddy See – Well, it’s a weird question (Laughs). Its truly hard to say but i believe that whatever it may be, it will be filled with quality music. The quality and groove is finally back for real.
Your works are primarily on Progressive, Electro House but what kind of EDM do you listen to?
Freddy See – I usually listen to newcomers, unknown artists. I love to hear fresh music from those producers who give it all!
Freddy See – Wow that was awesome! Sidney and Yves are some of favorite artists in this scene, I used to have their tracks on my iPod some years ago. Having my track played by them on one of the most important festival in the world, is just crazy.
Being chosen by Delayers to officially remix No Name and collab with them. How did this happen, could you share behind the scene story for us?
Freddy See – I met the Delayers at the very beginning of my career. We’re real close friends till 2011. They’re so cool, talented and humble!
They really like my music, and so do I, their music! So when they released No Name, they immediately thought about me for a remix!
Freddy See – Well, actually I really like all the Italian artists out there. Delayers, Lush and Simon, Merk & Kremont, Xanti, Marnik…the list is endless!
What are the upcoming works that we can expect from you in 2015 and about tours?
Freddy See – I’m focusing on great collaborations for this year. I will release some new solo tracks too.
What would you want to share about your Guestmix for EDM Lovers India with us and to Indian fans?
Freddy See – I can’t reveal nothing yet unfortunately, but I will real soon! In the while, enjoy my last remix !
