Electronic dance production duo The Chainsmokers are truly having one of the best years of any musical act, and it doesn’t seem as if their luck is going to stop anytime soon!

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart have thus far chosen to work with the rising female vocal stars of the music world throughout 2016. Right now, in October 2016, the duo are enjoying a peak in popularity enabled by their recent collaboration with the popstar Halsey, ‘Closer’. It’s seen them top the UK and US charts for six consecutive weeks, and it recently became their third double-platinum single of the year.

The duo’s list of accomplishments is increasing day by day , they’ve been nominated under four categories at the American Music Awards. Now , the duo has surpassed Calvin Harris , considering their lack of nominations last year.  The Chainsmokers are nominated for the AMA for New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, for “Don’t Let Me Down” ft. Daya, Favorite Duo, and Favorite EDM Artist. The talented duo  are up against Calvin Harris and Major Lazer for Favorite EDM Artist.
