The dissolution of Swedish House Mafia as a three-DJ juggernaut marked the end of an era in dance music. But now there seems a ray of hope , a deleted tweet of Axwell.

Back in March 2013 , the Swedish House Mafia split at the Ultra Music Festival Main Stage by saying “Good evening Miami. My name is Axwell, this is Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello — and we are still the Swedish House Mafia,” said Axwell at the set’s start. But just 90 minutes later, the mega-group that put EDM on the pop music dial and the arena rock map would be no more.

A deleted tweet from Axwell has given a ray of hope for their reunion in 2017 !

Below the logo is a date which corresponds to the Sunday of Ultra Miami 2017, hinting that the duo may in fact become a trio on the same stage that Swedish House Mafia made their last performance.

The word “new era” has led to many questions whether the Swedes are uniting again or forming another group .

Also it is said that the “new era” could actually be Axwell, Ingrosso and Alesso, who’s been closely associated with the group since its inception. Also  Axwell and Ingrosso are working with their ex-manager Amy Thompson once again, who also works with Alesso,this makes the situation more likely that the Swedish House Mafia are either reuntiting or a new trio of Axwell, Ingrosso and Alesso is going to be formed.

Hopeful fans have speculated on a triumphant Swedish House Mafia reunion. The tweet is certainly a mystery   Till then all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and wait for the official announcement.
