The Chainsmokers performed at the AMAs stage for the first time, performing their hit song “Closer” with Halsey and special guest drummer Travis Barker of Blink-182.This 22 years old singer Halsey also made her debut AMA performance. Halsey has seen a rapid two-year rise from unknown YouTuber to a featured voice on one of 2016’s biggest songs.Drew Taggart and Alex Pall were nominated for new artist of the year, the collaboration of the year, favourite duo or group – pop/rock and Won favourite artist-electronic dance music 2016.
