Major Lazer and Showtek’s collaboration “Believer” is one of the singles from Major Lazer’s new, upcoming album Music Is The Weapon which was released back in September 2016. The Official music video of this hit collaboration is so moving and absolutely emotional portraying the miserable conditions of the youth in the war torn country Syria
.
Inspired by the ongoing civil war in Syria and wanting to try and make a difference, the collaboration decided to create a music video dedicated to the children trapped in the poor conditions. Directed by Christopher Louie (who also directed XOXO) and filmed on site in the Middle East region,The video follows a young boy’s journey in his war torn neighborhood before his home was devastatingly bombed. We witness the happy memories with his family, friends, and the everyday activities he used to do before war took over.
