10 Genix Tunes You Need To Hear Before He Takes Over The Console At Vh1 Supersonic 2017

Damion Houchen better known as “Genix”, is one of the finest chefs from that famous “Anjuna” kitchen whose delicious dishes and cookies we taste every single week in the name of “Group Therapy”.

Being a trance heavy weight and owner of UK trance record label “Trance Revolution Recordings”, he has released good and melodious tracks on labels like “TRR”, “Anjunabeats”, “Armind” and many many more.

Working closely with artists and legends like “Above & Beyond”, “Paul van Dyk”, “Armin van Buuren” and many many many more, he is one true artist whose sounds and melodies pleases ears like a cool breeze of air or wave in the water.

His tracks are already played in the biggest radio shows like “A State of Trance”, “Vonyc Sessions”, “Club Life”, “Global DJ Broadcast” by the likes of “Armin van Buuren”, “Paul van Dyk”, “Tiesto”, “Markus Schulz”, “Above & Beyond” and many many many more.

He is also a “Guinness World Record” holder for the longest set in the DJ history comprising of 84 hours of set filled with madness and euphoria.

In 2015 he made his debut at “A State of Trance” festival in Mexico City along with trance heavyweights in the lineup like “Paul van Dyk”, “Armin van Buuren”, “Rank 1”,  “John O’Callaghan” and many many more.

The last time he was in India was for some private event back in 2015 and promised to be back soon, so this time he is back with a bang, yes with “Vh1 Supersonic” 2017, Pune.

He will be playing at this year’s “Vh1 Supersonic”, we just made a list of our top 10 and must hear “Genix” tracks before listening him live 🙂

1) Played by “Above & Beyond” at “Group Therapy 050” London, this remix by “Genix” & “Las Salinas” gave a magical touch to this already perfect track called “Anjunabeach”.
Later this track was also included in the yearly compilation “Anjunabeats Volume 11”.

2) Taken from “Anjunabeats Worldwide 04”, melodies and beats of this one creates a magical atmosphere around us, making the title worth “Aura”.

3) Taken from “Anjunabeats Volume 09”, this one is a massive collaboration between “Mike Koglin” & “Genix” and it is called “Dyno”.

4) This one is the mighty beast and massive collaboration with the Trance daddy itself, yes none other than but, Sir “Paul van Dyk”.This collaboration was came into light as part of his “Paul van Dyk”‘s much awaited and wanted album “The Politics of Dancing 3”.

5) Remember that famous and melodious track “Home” by “Above & Beyond” featuring beautiful vocals by “Hannah Thomas”?”Above & Beyond” played this one right here in India at their last ever radio show “Trance Around The World 450” or “Group Therapy 001”

6) This one is released on “Armin van Buuren”‘s record label “Armind” recordings and its a journey of those amazing synths melting down into beautiful breakdown.

11) Who doesn’t knows Germany’s one of the finest duos “Kyau & Albert”.
We still remember, on one of the “A State of Trance” radio shows “Armin van Buuren” once asked “Kyau & Albert” in a short interview about vocals of their tracks like who sings them.And we were really amazed when we got to know the answer, vocals in almost all “Kyau & Albert” tracks are provided by them only 🙂 Genix remix of this one is really a good one and must listen..

12) Played by “Above & Beyond” during their recent celebrations of 200 episodes of “Group Therapy” in Amsterdam, this one is filled with pure energy and madness.
