There have been innumerable cases at music festivals which feature sexual assault. Emma Knyckare, a comedian from Sweden thought that a good way to end this would be to launch a festival that would be open to women only. The festival will only see female artists, female crew and female attendees. The idea definitely sounds unique, but whether it is right or not is debatable. Perhaps this is not the only way cases of sexual assault at festivals can be stopped.
That being said, The Statement Festival has already raised over $67000 for its inaugural edition. They are targeting it to be a 2 day festival which will take place in 2018. This festival will certainly go down as one of the most unique themed music festivals in history.
