“Vomitstep” is one for the weirdest name of sub-genres in EDM till today. But its creator is much more talented and wants to coin his own brand of dubstep. “Snails,” who does not require any introduction, is on a slimy bass slide crafted by his fans.
Yesterday, Snails released his debut album “The Shell”. He has been releasing singles over a long period of time but now he has taken the huge step with the release of the entire album, with his special, unique & weird sound. After going through entire album one thing can be easily concluded, “He is just a monster”.
A house full of artists are featured on his album including NGHTMRE & Akylla, Big Gigantic & Collie Buddz, Foreign Beggars, Sarah Hudson, and much more. Maybe Snails wanted to create a new vibe, that’s why he has lots of collab on his album but even after so many artists his guttural bass gurgles is not missing in any of his songs.
The entire album is planned and moves in sequence. First “The Intro”, then hip-hop touch with Foreign Beggars, then massive therapy with Big Gigantic & Collie Buddz. The perfect blend of different sounds and level of hardness of tracks in “The Shell” album creates notoriously nasty, gnarly, brutal and hard musical vibes.
Maybe we are biased but this is the best Bass release of this year, listen to The Shell below.
