For many years, Major Lazer have ruled  the airwaves with collaborations with artists from all over. Using their musical expertise they has greatly acknowledged Africa by dropping an epic Afrobeats Mix. The 17-track, 30-minute mix, features African artists like Mr.Eazi, Sauti Sol, Kizz Daniel, Davido among others.

Major Lazer who are currently touring Africa throughout September and October are also working with VETPAW (Veterans Empowered to Protect African Wildlife) to help the fight against poaching in South Africa and beyond.

Diplo stated: 

“Over the past few years we’ve had the chance to tour extensively and work with artists across Africa, these music scenes continue to inspire the music we make and sets we play. We wanted to bridge our music as Major Lazer with all these new sounds and genres coming out of Africa,” 

The Mega Mix with percussive sounds and rhythmic reggae tunes with a fusion of hip-hop clearly shows that they have been greatly inspired by African sounds. Afrobeats Mix is an absolute party starter and is released on all platforms via Diplo’s record label, Mad Decent.
