The Indian electronic scene has been seeing enormous growth in the past few years. A lot of international artists and festivals have come to India and there are lots planned for the future as well. There are certain music festivals that we wish would take place in India in the future. Add to our list in the comments!

Defqon.1

Defqon.1 is a three-day hardstyle music festival which is curated by Q-Dance. It came into being in 2003 and is held in 3 countries annually – Netherlands, Australia, and Chile. The festival is related to genres such as hard house, hard techno, hard trance and more of that sort. Artists such as Wildstylez, Dirtcaps, Coone, Headhunterz and more have performed on the stages of Defqon.1 in the past.  We know that India has a very loyal hardstyle fanbase and a festival like Defqon.1 would definitely attract a lot of attendees!

Nocturnal Wonderland

Nocturnal Wonderland was founded back in 1995 and is organized by Insomniac in the USA. It has about six stages such as Upside Downroom, The Labyrinth, Alice’s House, The Sunken Garden and more, with a plethora of artists performing over the span of two to three days. Since Insomniac has already given us the taste of Electronic Daisy Carnival in the NCR, India would love to experience more festivals from them!

Untold Festival

Untold is a multi-genre festival that takes place in Romania every year. The festival has seen performances by artists like Ellie Goulding, Charli XCX, Tinie Tempah, Kygo, Bonobo, Armin van Buuren, Alesso, Tiesto, Hardwell, DVLM, Marshmello over the years. The festival has been doing so well in Romania that it has become the international ambassador of the country. It has also won the best major festival award in European Festivals Award.

Creamfields

Creamfields is a UK based music festival which has expanded internationally over the years. It is one of the largest music festivals in terms of attendance. It has won several awards like the Best Dance Festival and Best Major Festival. Artists such as Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, Above and Beyond, Eric Prydz, Diplo and more performed in the latest edition of Creamfields. We would love to have one of it’s spinoffs here in India!

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is one festival which is in every Indian festival-goer’s bucket list. There is no need to describe how grand it is and how it is one of the very best in the game. The festival now stretches over two weekends and sells out tickets in a matter of minutes. India has had a Unite with Tomorrowland screening in the past, but not the actual festival.
