Back in 2018, It’s a Fine Day was held on New Year’s Day celebrating new beginnings with amazing DJs such as Cosmic Gate, Marlo and Ferry Corsten. This year, Symbiotic had turned the event from day to night, from an outdoor day event to an indoor night event held at Festival Hall, Melbourne, Australia. Trance fans attended this event and got their dancing shoes on to see their favorite artist deliver euphoric and uplifting tunes. The DJs delivered the best trance, progressive tunes and reverse bass. The event reached up to 800-900 patrons.
Trance fans attended this event to watch and listen to talented international DJ’s who flew down to Melbourne to bring music to their ears and also for those who couldn’t it make it to the main event Transmission held in Sydney. Some of the DJ’s played in both Melbourne ‘It’s a Fine Night’ and Sydney “Transmission back to back such as AVAO, Ilan Bluestone, Vini Vici, and Simon Patterson.
The headline acts for It’s a Fine Night started off with AVAO warming up the crowd along with Ilan Bluestone who I enjoyed seeing as his music is on par with Above & Beyond – my all time favorite music producers.
Simon Patterson has been around for over a decade. One of his classic and signature tracks ‘Bulldozer’ was where it started and made him reach his peak back in 2010 where he played his own show at Billboards in Melbourne. I was honored to meet and greet him in person backstage and was such an ecstatic experience. 9 years later, he is still delivering the best of hard trance/dance and to see him play at It’s a Fine Night was very nostalgic.
It was the first time I have seen Purple Haze perform and surprisingly, he was really good bringing the finest and uplifting trance tunes. Vini Vici was the highlight of my night where they dropped a classic track ‘Free Tibet’ which hyped up the crowd chanting the lyrics. What can I say? Vini Vici played an awesome set and I look forward to seeing them again at Tomorrowland in July.
Last but not least, MKN (also one of my favorite producers) finished the night off with reverse bass to keep the crowd going and played the signature track that everyone loves ’Feeling’ it’. Overall, It’s a Fine Night was a very fine enjoyable night to party with great friends, meeting new people who become friends and where music brings people together.
