Above & Beyond celebrated the occasion of International Yoga Day by announcing their new album ‘Flow State‘ aimed for Yoga and meditation. Along with the announcement of 17-track album, the British trio has put out a sampler of 3 tracks to set the mood. Best known for their emotional and euphoric trance anthems, Above & Beyond take things deeper with their latest offering.

Above & Beyond’s love for Indian culture is no secret with the group naming their imprint ‘Anjunabeats‘ after a Goan beach and the beginning of their annual Group Therapy celebrations in Bangalore with #ABGT001 back in 2012. Their inclination to Yoga, the spiritual art form originated from India, was first imminent when the group played a Yoga set at Burning Man in 2014. Since then the British legends have pushed the artform in various ways, from opening their headline shows with special Yoga sets to maintaining a dedicated Yoga playlist on Spotify.
In the official statement, Paavo Siljamaki of Above & Beyond explains the idea behind coming up with an album dedicated for Yoga.
“Our music has always been about getting in touch with, and understanding and accepting our emotions. After those amazing yoga sets, we realized that there is a bigger place for this more reflective music within our little universe. With the Flow State project, we want to help bring people’s attention and focus towards helping themselves find better mental fitness and overall happiness in life. Through raised awareness, being more present, one can reach a state of flow: a creative and free state of mind where time, fear and stress dissipate.”
The 49-minute long album features 14 brand new tracks along with 3 older ones specifically remastered for the album.
