Eric Prydz has blessed the world of dance music yet again, this time by unleashing 6 heavenly tunes in volume 1 of Pryda 15 EP. Eric is the man with many aliases and out of all his projects, his Pryda alias is the most adored by fans for delivering melodic progressive house gems over the years. To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Pryda project, the swede is set to treat his fans this summer with 3 Pryda EPs. With the first volume itself being full of heaters, one can expect a lot more in the subsequent Volume 2 & 3 slated to release in the months of July and August respectively.

The 6 track EP has a total length of 49 minutes, which is something you come to expect from the veteran producer’s discography. Prydz has a knack of coming up with complex yet simple melodies with each track taking the listener on an extensive journey. The genius of Eric Prydz again schools the EDM scene by exhibiting what progressive house really is, in its purest form. The EP starts off with ‘Illuminations‘, which serves as great introductory track as any for someone who wants to understand the euphoria of listening to a Pryda record. BBC Radio One’s Annie Mac has already termed it as “The Hottest Record in the World”, so don’t be surprised if you hear this tune dropping at music festivals around the globe this summer.

The Pryda 15 Volume 1 has sent fans into a frenzy for all the right reasons. Some of the most notable tracks of Prydz’s catalog of IDs have finally seen the light of the day. These tunes were only floating around as IDs in many of Eric’s sets over the past decade with fans having to settle for listening to them in not-so-great audio quality. To put things into perspective, ‘Warrior’ was first played by Prydz at a live show in 2010. While ‘New Eras’ first appeared in Eric’s radio show in 2012 and was referred to by fans as ‘EPIC Radio 006 ID‘. With two more Pryda EPs releasing in the coming months, fans will keep their fingers crossed for their favorite unreleased tracks to be included in the mix.
