Lane 8 & Yotto are two of the most iconic contemporary music producers, known for their deep & melodic house music. If we look closely, both of them had a similar trajectory in their career. Both started and built their reputation on one of the finest labels of the genre, Anjunadeep, have shared multiple stages together and gained loyal fanbase after putting out their music in abundance. Their 2018 album’s ‘Little By Little‘ and ‘Hyperfall‘ were the highlights of the year for deep house music lovers.
The Anjunadeep mates have now come together to deliver their very first collaboration called ‘I/Y’. The result of these two forces joining exceeds all our expectations with the elegantly crafted tune that blends the styles of both Yotto and Lane 8 seamlessly.
I/Y finds its home on Lane 8’s own imprint ‘This Never Happened‘ as Yotto makes his debut on the label after a string of releases on Anjunadeep. The track had built up great anticipation among fans ever since it was premiered to close out the colossal Summer 2019 Mixtape from Lane 8.
The blissful single starts off with orchestral strings and as the song progresses, minor chord progressions, nonchalant plucks and delicate basslines creep in. When all the masterfully crafted components come together for release, an overwhelming uplifting feeling transcends from listeners ears to his mind and soul.
