When it comes to the current situation, Electric Castle has good news, they will continue to get ready for the next edition, scheduled for 15th-19th July, at Banffy in Bontida, Cluj. Electric Castle has added new acts such as Twenty-One Pilots, The Chemical Brothers, Placebo, Aurora, Foals, The Neighbourhood, Fisher, Zhu, Floating Points, Rezz, Tycho, Amon Tobin, Alec Benjamin, Purple Disco Machine, Tommy Cash and many more.

In 1996, Placebo immediately gained the attention of a whole world on a music scene filled with Britpop style, and a whole generation of music would be shifting. Twenty years after its release and twelve million albums sold, it is a fact that Placebo played a significant part in music history. Their appearance on the main stage at Electric Castle will carry newly released songs to the audience but also the hits that described their musical course, such as Taste In Men, Every You, Every Me and The Bitter End.

Winners of six Grammy Awards, of which two in 2020, for Best Dance / Electronic Album – No Geography and Best Dance Recording – Got To Keep On, The Chemical Brothers are one of the names that any festival wants in their head poster, this year. Electric Castle succeeds in offering its fans the band’s live experience which he has been redefining electronic music for over 20 years! While major electronic music acts such as REZZ, Fisher, Zhu, NGHTMRE, Noisia & more will join these legendary names.

The New Media Castle design is continuing to develop, with the group attracting visual artists from around the world. In the most impressive media arts show in Romania, KIMCHI & CHIPS, the first South Korean artists to obtain the Ars Electronica, AV&C, New York team signing new digital landscapes, Mathieu Zurstrasse, the architect who plays with the ambiguity of the materials, comes with his own interpretations on the ground of the Banffy Castle.
