Eagerly waiting for your next rave? Well, you will be surprised as to how things may go forward keeping the safety and wellness of all party-goers. With all the strict rules and regulations that we must follow during the lock-down, a club in Germany has given us a ray of hope and a glimpse of what our future raves could look like. And this small party is surely a big win for the dance music industry. Finally, some good news, phew.

The local promoters TakaTuka, and the management over at Coconut Beach Club in Münster, Germany were able to achieve the impossible by hosting a small party in the midst of the everlasting lock-down. The club had of course taken all the precautionary measures and ensured the safety of all attendees as a top priority. And, it’s definitely not easy to pull off something like this especially during all this chaos. Hats-off to the club and the entire team for taking this daring attempt in keeping the clubbing scene alive.

So you must be wondering what was the whole experience like? Firstly, the venue which is capable of accommodating 2000 guests opened doors to only a handful 100 people. This automatically made adequate space to maintain social distancing in and around the club. And on the dance-floor, circular boundaries were made which were 1.5m apart, with each circle accompanying a single person. Apart from these arrangements, up-to a group of 4 people had their own areas to chill and drink. And of course, social distancing markers were made at the DJ booth and at all the other commonly used areas.

Now with all these manageable rules and regulations, there was a downside that we hope is only temporary. The ticket prices were a whopping 70 euros which were probably decided to try and cover up the losses that the club might have faced during the lock-down and it is quite understandable.

The artists who played at this party were Gerd Janson, Steve Stix, Kai Lorenzen, and Thorsten Karger. It surely must be very exciting for them to play at a party like this. According to Gerd Janson, the entire event was a bittersweet moment that brought back the good old memories and showed a glimpse of a hopeful future.

As members of the dance music community, all we can do is hope and support our scientists and medical staff to fight this pandemic once and for all. Also, in the meanwhile try and support your favorite/local artists in some way or the other. Remember, we’re all in this together. Stay safe.
