Marvel Years is a shape-shifting producer and multi-instrumentalist who redefines electronic music genres.

Vermont-born, New York-based musician blends guitar with studio beat-making to produce a raw, bass-heavy trademark sound. He’s performed at Red Rocks with ZHU, STS9, and Pretty Lights.

Marvel Years used the early days of the epidemic to revive his passion for studio composition and polish his style. Voyage Ahead, a sweeping, thematic listening experience, was inspired by this meditation.

Voyage Ahead Pt.1 is the first of a two-part EP series that emulates live electronic music performance. Marvel Years plays each instrumental piece himself on Voyage Ahead Pt. 1 instead of using samples. This resulted in a studio EP that recreates the Marvel Years live sound during a period when he couldn’t perform, displaying the artist’s most original work ever.

The EP’s debut track, “Come This Far,” was a collaboration with electronic music pianist Jason Leech (who’s opened for Galantis, GRiZ, and Big Gigantic) and singer Jess Lamb. Bluesy piano chords and hard-hitting bass lines introduce Lamb’s gruff, captivating vocals. Voyage Ahead Pt. 1 begins with deep, booming bass tones, futuristic synth melodies, and majestic guitar solos.

Marvel Years‘ EP is blues-influenced electronic. On “Higher Up,” the producer blends virtuosity guitar playing with high-level computer production for a lush, shape-shifting banger.

The EP’s other kaleidoscopic masterworks include “Lean With It,” “Where The Bounce At,” and “Space March,” giving a look into Marvel Years‘ future.

Marvel Years will perform at Denver’s Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on October 7, 2022. A solo Marvel Years concert will be followed by a Marvel Years Trio show with Emancipator/Manic Focus drummer Colby Buckler. Marvel Years’ solo concert will showcase his various abilities as he plays guitar, synthesizers, and DJ. The Marvel Years Trio performance will include Jason Leech’s jamtronica sounds and Colby Buckler’s strong, diverse drumming to compliment Marvel Years‘ soulful, instrumental-driven sound.
