After making a beautiful comeback in 2022, Europe’s biggest festival, Sziget in Budapest, Hungary, has announced its first wave of 2023 bands. Billie Eilish, David Guetta, Florence + The Machine, and Imagine Dragons are among the world-class headliners.
From August 10 to 15, 2023, the Island of Freedom will host Sam Fender, YUNGBLUD, Foals, Jamie xx, M83, Moderat, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Niall Horan, Sven Väth, Mimi Webb, Nothing But Thieves, Two Feet, Viagra Boys, Amyl and The Sniffers, 070 Shake, TV Girl, Dixon, Baby Queen, The Comet is Coming, Youngr, Los Bitchos, Destroy Boys, Kelly Lee Owens, Mall Grab, Partiboi69, Parra for Cuva, Jungle By Night, yunè pinku, Hannah Grae, and more to come.
Every year, Sziget turns Budapest’s Óbuda Island into the “Island of Freedom” for six days, inviting festivalgoers to leave their daily lives behind and embrace freedom, companionship, and cultural discovery.
Billie Eilish‘s Happy Than Ever global tour, which follows rumors of a third album in 2023, will set the bar high for its 29th edition. David Guetta will return to Sziget’s main stage after a stunning 2018 performance with new songs including Crazy What Love Can Do with Becky Hill, I’m Fine (Blue) with Bebe Rexha, and Damn (You’ve Got Me Saying).
Sziget will be back on August 10–15, 2023, to include some of the acts from this year’s festival. Tickets for €325 are available. Sziget info is at szigetfestival.com.
