12 sceneries, a campsite, 20,000 festivalgoers, and 300 acts are scheduled for Electric Castle’s eighth edition on July 19 on the Banffy estate’s 40 acres. For a smooth experience, the organisers produced a handbook with access details and valuable information for participants.
On July 10, subscriptions can be swapped in the access bracelet at open sites in Bucharest (AFI Cotroceni and Băneasa Shopping City) and Cluj-Napoca (Iulius Mall). Tazz allows bracelet orders at any address in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Brasov, and Timișoara. The operation can only be done at the festival once pre-swap points close on the first day. Only festival entrances sell children’s wristbands.
Compared to previous year, the planners raised the number of buses by 30% and the capacity of EC trains by 50%, making them the fastest and easiest method to arrive to the festival. Peak-hour waits are 30 minutes. Participants can report transit concerns on a WhatsApp queue and buy tickets here.
Bring buddies if you drive to the castle. Carpooling by OMV offers free parking for cars with all seats and awards for passengers.
EC is cashless. Feeding the bracelet can be done online at the electriccastle.ro user account or at dedicated visitors with cash or a card.
The EC website has all the information, including a FAQ. www.electriccastle.ro sells Electric Castle 9 tickets, campground passes, and the latest accommodations.
