MASSIF organisers take a risk for the second year, combining popular mountain activities with diverse musical genres by niche international acts. Shimza, GORDO, Wilkinson Dub FX ft. Woodnote, and Grigoré at Massif.
Shimza is one of South Africa’s best artists. The singer went from music business wannabe to global afro-house star. Shimza’s album “Shimuzic,” as well as collaborations and singles like “African Woman” and “Akulalwa,” have made him a leading South African house music producer.
DJ, producer, and rapper GORDO was Carnage. He became famous for live shows. His 2012 debut as ‘Carnage’ included collaborations on ‘The Underground’ and ‘Papi Gordo’. Changing his name to “Gordo,” the musician published “KTM” in 2021. He switched from trap to bass with a house and techno feel. Gordo contributed to Drake’s “Honestly, Nevermind,” a June 2022 surprise album.
Grigoré is a rising deep and melodic house performer. With many influences, Grigoré creates a distinct musical experience and asserts himself with every release.
After his 2013 debut album, Lazers Not Included, British drum and bass DJ and producer Wilkinson became famous worldwide. His unique blend of drum and bass, pop, and electronica won him fans and praise.
Australian Dub FX, known internationally for his innovative hip hop, reggae, and drum and bass rhythms, will perform with others at G.O.A.T. He will perform with British Mr. Woodnote, a world-class saxophonist. For years, the two have performed together at UNTOLD, Glastonbury, ADE, and BoomTown.
