Located in the heart of Budapest, Hungary, in the Óbuda Island, Sziget festival, with more then 50 stages, brings together a global schedule of headliners, world music, cabaret, comedy, screenings, workshops, wellness activities, light installations, performances and art.

 

Europe’s biggest festival excitingly announces the first headliners and 35 names for the first wave including Stormzy, Fred again.., and Sam Smith. Taking place from the 7th to the 12th of August 2024, the Island of Freedom will also welcome Fisher, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Sven Väth, Skrillex, Kylie Minogue, Liam Gallagher, Crystal Fighters, Eris Drew & Octo Octa, Fontaines D.C., Four Tet, Honey Dijon, Joost, Joesef, Joker Out, Louis Tomlinson, L’Impératrice, MEUTE, Nia Archives, Dom Dolla, Nova Twins, Overmono, Pip Blom, Warhaus, plus more to be announced.

The dynamic lineup is also welcoming the internationally acclaimed DJ and producer, Martin Garrix, known for his EDM hits and impressive sound and lighting show display.

 

 

Sziget is a community-built festival and known as the ‘Island of Freedom’. Attended by Szitizens from over 100 countries each year, the festival is dedicated to embracing diversity as a part of its ‘Love Revolution’, using the power of the community to celebrate and bring love and freedom to the heart of Budapest and beyond.

 

Spanning over 6 days, every year, Sziget transforms Budapest’s Óbuda Island into the ‘The Island of Freedom’, evolving the site into a choose-your-own-adventure.
