Part of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the world’s leading festival and conference for electronic music – ADE Lab is dedicated to education, inspiration, and professional growth for emerging talent. Every October, it brings together the next generation of artists, producers, and industry professionals for four days of talks, workshops, and creative sessions.
ADE Lab Village at Westergas – A New Home
For the first time, ADE Lab will take place entirely within Westergas, transforming the area into the ADE Lab Village into a creative neighborhood where the future of the music industry takes shape. All program elements come together in one inspiring location, from masterclasses and panels to studio sessions, gear labs, and networking spaces.
At the heart of the Village is WestWeelde, the main hub for key sessions, panels, and informal meetups in the Lab Living area. Nearby, Radio Radio hosts hands-on workshops and vinyl listening sessions, while Pacific Amsterdam offers an intimate, studio-like environment for masterclasses and the return of the popular Gear Test Lab and Gear Workshop Room.
Several new partner venues add fresh dimensions to the Village experience:
- Bakkerswinkel becomes a recording and production space.
- Mossel & Gin and Amsterdam Flavours will host smaller-scale events and learning experiences — with more details to be announced soon.
ADE Lab also reintroduces its Open Calls, giving young creatives new ways to participate, Initiatives include:
- Incepted – a collaborative writers’ camp with Sony Music.
- FACE 2 FACE DJ Contest – in partnership with Seedj and Face 2 Face.
- Club Lab – created with DJ Mag, offering Lab Pass holders a chance to perform, collaborate, and release music professionally.
The we.grow mentorship program by shesaid.so also returns, continuing to build an inclusive, supportive network for artists and professionals around the world.
This year’s ADE Lab lineup features artists and experts shaping the next chapter of electronic music, including KETTAMA, Indira Paganotto, SPFDJ, Ron Trent, and Octo Octa. Highlights include sessions like “Building Your Artist Brand” with DJ AG and “Chlär: KERNEL”, which explores the intersection of sound and visual art.
