Cologne’s iconic venue Bootshaus has been ranked the 4th Best Club in the World in The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2025 list, revealed at the 10th Golden Moon Awards Gala in Valencia, Spain.

Compiled by the International Nightlife Association, the annual ranking assesses hundreds of venues across 73 countries, combining evaluations from an expert jury with a global public vote. This year’s result places Bootshaus among elite company, alongside renowned clubs such as Hï, Ushuaïa Ibiza and Green Valley.

The recognition arrives during a standout winter season for the club. December kicks off with Above & Beyond on the 5th, followed by the return of elrow and its signature immersive production on the 12th. Kevin de Vries and Kölsch headline on the 13th, delivering a night of emotive house and tech-house, while Oliver Magenta & Friends take over on the 14th. The year wraps with Bootshaus pres. Avaion and the Loonyland Silvester 2025 celebrations.

Originally opened in 1991 as Warehouse and relaunched as Bootshaus in 2005, the club has gained a reputation for its forward-thinking programming across melodic house, techno, bass, dubstep and hardstyle. Its identity remains rooted in a stripped-back philosophy that prioritizes music and atmosphere over luxury, supported by a strong sense of accessibility and community. In-house brands such as Loonyland, Blacklist, Unreal and Nibirii have become central elements of its cultural footprint.

Set in a converted shipyard warehouse, Bootshaus houses three main rooms—Mainfloor, BLCKBX and Dreherei—each outfitted with advanced audio-visual setups, including Funktion-One and Seeburg Audio systems, enhanced by high-energy lighting, lasers and visual effects.
