Mast Qalandar / Junoon by Indo Warehouse is now available for streaming across all major platforms, bringing together Sufi tradition and underground electronic music in one powerful release. You can listen to the EP here: Listen to Mast Qalandar / Junoon. Released in March 2026, the project reflects a growing global shift where South Asian musical heritage is being reimagined for modern audiences and dancefloors.

“Mast Qalandar,” one of the most iconic Sufi compositions, is transformed into a hypnotic electronic journey in this EP. Drawing from Amir Khusrow’s poetry and the spiritual legacy of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, the track blends centuries-old devotion with contemporary production. Umer Piracha’s vocals, rooted in a 700-year Qawwali lineage, combine with Saqib’s immersive, meditative sound to create a seamless bridge between sacred tradition and club culture.

“Junoon” explores a more intense and rebellious sonic direction, capturing the essence of passion, obsession, and emotional drive. Built around Raga Bhairav, the track fuses electro, indie dance, and break-driven elements with a retro-futuristic feel. Naayaab’s Punjabi vocals cut through with raw emotion, turning the track into a powerful expression of movement and individuality.

The EP is a result of a unique cross-cultural collaboration between Brooklyn-based producer Saqib, Multan-born Sufi vocalist Umer Piracha, and Mumbai-based artist Naayaab. Their journey began with a chance meeting at Amsterdam Dance Event 2024 and evolved into a shared vision of blending traditional South Asian sounds with global electronic music. This collaboration brings authenticity and innovation together in a way that feels natural and impactful.

Released under Indo Warehouse, a New York-based collective founded in 2022, the EP represents the label’s signature “Indo House” sound. By merging deep house and melodic techno with regional influences, Indo Warehouse continues to shape a new space in global dance music. With over 46 tracks released from more than 25 artists, the collective is steadily building a movement that connects heritage with the future of electronic sound.
