Mike Hawkins is the next artist to leave Spinnin’ Records behind, following on from the news that Julian Jordan would also be leavingthe label and their Music All Stars Management company. With Martin, Julian and now hawkins leaving the label, it definitely raises all the valid questions of what’s wrong with the label, Spinnin Recors. This might also be the result of Martin Garrix leaving the label and his friends are just following his footsteps. While Hawkins states that they mutually agreed to end their deal and he states that their visions are differently, and thus it made sense for them to go their opposite ways.
Continuing on what I announced last week, I would like to inform fans, followers, friends and other supporters that Spinnin’ Records and I have mutually agreed to end our deal. Following two very exciting and fruitful years for me it has been a key stone for my personal aspirations that I pursue wider and different creative paths in my music. I have worked hard on several new records the past half year, and both parties have agreed that going forward we are perhaps not the right match for each other in terms of style and vision.
I’m extremely excited about the future and my new team which I can’t wait to tell you more about – and I feel more creative and inspired than ever, something which shows in the studio. Thank you all so much for being with me through this journey, nothing but love for you!– Mike Hawkins
Not to mention, this also give light to our thought that Martin Garrix is setting up a new label along with new artist management company. Martin has a healthy number of friends in the EDM circuit to the likes of Julian Jordan, Mike Hawkins, Mesto, Justin Mylo, Mattise & Sadko to name a few and starting an artist management company with all these names isn’t a bad idea.
