From being most in demand remixers to being proclaimed as king of progressive scene, the duo from Montreal, Sultan + Ned Shepard have created a massive impression in the Dance Music Industry. With countless chart-topping productions including co-writing David Guetta’s hit “Bad” along with Showtek, 2015 has seen the duo gaining massive support worldwide & establishing themselves at the forefront of the house music scene.
After hitting festivals such as Ultra, TomorrowWorld, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland and countless clubs across the globe, the duo finished on their year by playing at VH1 Supersonic Goa 2015.
We had a chance to interact with the duo backstage before their set & here is what they shared.

Ques : How has the Indian Dance Music scene evolved over the years according to you?

 

Reply: It’s been adapting and changing just like the rest of the world. It’s really nice to see the fans’s love for dance music growing more and more. It’s starting to grow bigger and better every time we come back here.

 

Ques : Which producers have you been digging this year?

Reply: Well, there are so many good artists out there but we have been focusing more on The Chainsmokers, Michael Calfan, Major Lazer, Skrillex ….



Ques : Which place has been the sickest arena you have played till date?

Reply: Ahhh!!!  Well, This one is hard to decide but if we have to choose we must say that Australia and Las Vegas was off the hook this year, Just incredible and off course India, We love coming here.



Ques : Can we expect a collaboration with Fedde Le Grand or Dillon Francis anytime soon?

Reply: Yes, May be with Fedde, We have so much new stuff to portray to the world but as of now we can say we have some new stuff coming up with Showtek.

Ques : Do you guys enjoy producing when on tour, does travelling around the world inspire the music you make?

Reply: We are more of studio guys but our tours do inspire our production ideas which we use while working on new music. When you tour around the world it educates you the music that is going around and what the crowd expects.So yeah !!! that definitely helps you and even inspire.

 

Ques : What are your thoughts on the Indian festival circuit?

Reply: Its great. It has grown rapidly over the years. Its nice to see the scene evolve every time we come back here and good to see 2 equally good festivals happening at the same time that definitely speaks volume of the music scene that exists today in India.

 

Ques : Is your social life affected due to continuously being on tour?

Reply: Yes our social life is very much affected due to continuously being on tour and having no spare time as such. But that is part and parcel of your life when you are a DJ, so we have no complaints.

 

Ques : Do you have any favorite artists that u will love collaborating with?

Reply: At the moment it will be none other than The Chainsmokers and Michael Calfan. These guys are absolutely pushing the limits these days. 

 


Ques : How often do you like road testing new music in your sets?
Reply: All the time, every week on tour we are road testing new mashups, remixes, edits, bootlegs and new music. In our view that is the best way to review your track.

Ques : Any message for all your fans in India?

Reply:  India we love you, thankyou so much for supporting us over these years! Keep an eye on us, a lot of new music is coming. Namaste !!!
