Wednesday, July 13 at 12:00, Electric Castle’s gates will open to thousands of visitors. The organizers have produced a short guide to enable the approximately 250,000 attendees get through all the access processes as soon as possible and focus on fun. What’s the festival’s address? Fewer vehicles, more people using trains or buses. Organizers ask participants to use the event’s lines to prevent traffic congestion. Those who select the train have dedicated flights Cluj-Napoca-Jucu coupled with shuttle services to the castle or ordinary CFR trains that stop at Bonțida station. EC buses run nonstop between Cluj-Napoca (Iulius Mall, Expo Transilvania) and Bonţida, with a priority option for those who don’t want to wait. For cars, organizers have built parking areas in the festival vicinity, but prior tickets are recommended.
What’s the festival’s entrance?
Festival-goers can exchange their tickets for access bracelets at open sites in Bucharest (AFI Cotroceni and Băneasa Shopping City) or Cluj-Napoca (Iulius Mall). These points will be open until the first day of the festival, and then just at the entrance.
How do festival-goers pay?
EC is cashless. The bracelet can be loaded online at electriccastle.ro or at specialized counters with cash or card.

The organizers have planned everything, even the campsite, to minimize daily hassles. The public can visit the supermarket, restaurant, and barbecue area. Those who want to bring goods from home must camp, where they can bring water, food, and cans (but not glass). Cameras, laptops, prescription medications and up to 3 without prescription, flags, selfie sticks, and water in sealed plastic drums are allowed within the festival and camping.
Drugs, knives, firearms, explosives, glass, alcohol, animals, bicycles, skates, umbrellas, musical instruments, graffiti, stickers, advertising materials, garden furniture, audio systems, and drones are prohibited.
