On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you expect an artist to drop Wonderwall or Pop Dat during their set?
It seems appropriate for artists to drop current mainstream hits and a couple classics to keep the crowd going. But lately, it seems that they’re doing this at the cost of losing originality. Canadian DJ and producer Rezz recently shed light on this subject, and very rightly so.
I don’t get how so many DJs play the same edits/songs as eachother all the time.
It’s rare to tell who’s playing nowadays— RΞZZ in Tokyo (@OfficialRezz) September 15, 2017
Granted, this is exactly what pleases the mainstream crowds. But at the same time, it is causing stagnation in the scene. We’d love to see more and more artists introducing new things to the audiences.
That being said, we absolutely can’t wait for KSHMR’s live orchestral set in Sunburn Arena’s six city tour!
