2019 has undoubtedly been incredibly big year for i_o. The techno sensation embarked on support duties for mau5trap boss deadmau5‘s cube V3, made his debut appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Miami and hacked his way into some of the top clubs and festivals across the world. After releasing collaborative singles with Tommy Trash, Jauz, Grimes, remixes for deadmau5, Above & Beyond and 2 EPs ‘Death By Techno‘ & ‘House of God‘ this year; one would have thought that the notorious producer will take it slow. But, i_o clearly has other plans on his mind as he drops another EP titled ‘ACID 444’.

This EP is the first installment of i_o’s 3-Part ‘PROJECT 444’ EP series. As the name indicates, ‘ACID 444’ is all about acidic sounds that transport us straight to a 90’s underground rave. The mau5trap signee showcases his production range on four hard hitting bangers ‘Kill Process’, ‘Rave 444’, ‘Replicate’ and ‘System Error’. Even by i_o’s standards, ACID 444, is overwhelmingly dark with high tempo rhythms and thumping basslines. ‘Replicate’ is the real highlight of the EP with its haunting melodic breakdown leading to an enchanting drop that has i_o’s signature style of techno written all over it.
