Q – Your track ‘Fine Without You’ was a big hit from Armin’s album Imagine released in 2008, its almost 8 years now, so are there any plans of collaboration again?

A – WOW time sure does fly!  Armin and I have stayed in touch thru ought the years and there is always a possibility of another collaboration!  It is something we have talked about several times and he has asked me to work with him on a couple of his last albums, but the timing never came together right.  “Fine Without You” is such a special song and I would love to work with Armin again on a follow up.  You never know!

Q – We are really fan of almost all your tracks but ‘Pushing Up’ with Solid Stone has really a great meaning and lyrics, would you like to share story behind it?

A – Working with Solid Stone is always a pleasure, I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed the song!  Solid Stone has this way of taking something I’ve written and turning it around and putting an entirely new spin on it.  “Pushing Up” was this simple track I wrote to my keyboard and when he sent me back his idea I was like WHOA!!  It was dark and dirty and fit the tone and lyrics perfectly.  Solid Stone is really really good at that!

Q – Do you have any plans for your own album?

A – I would love to have my own EP or album one day.  I went away for a couple of years from the music industry and have only gotten back into it over the last year and a half so I’m working at building up my name again.  The scene has changed so much from 8 years ago so I’m figuring out what sounds work for me right now and what kind of music I want to be a part of.  I listen to so many genres of music and want to do it all!  I would actually love to have my own EP of music that I’ve produced and written to, sang on, and designed the artwork for, entirely by myself.  That is my main goal right now.

Q – Are there any specific moments in your career that you’re extremely proud of?

A – I’m definitely proud of my career having taken me to over 33 different countries in this world.  When I travel I discover so much about myself and what I want out of life.  I enjoy traveling alone and especially to those countries where I’m completely out of my element.  It’s there that I really learn a lot about myself. It’s like a refresher that let’s you put your priorities in order again.  My travel experiences are definitely what I’m mostly proud of. I will also never forget having my parents and family there with me for the Armin Only NYE party in Los Angeles in 2009.  The face of my parents as I came off stage is priceless and something I’ll never forget.

Q – Which artists, according to you, have had a big influence on your life as an artist yourself and expanding your taste in music?

A – Paul van Dyk was a huge influence on me wanting to become a DJ.  When I discovered trance I listened to a lot of his sets and his mixing skills…keep in mind this was way before the days of laptop DJ’s and sync buttons!  That man can mix and he can mix one song into the other and back out again so quickly.  His mixes were so high energy, there was no downtime and I loved every minute of them.  He was a big influence on me wanting to become a DJ.  I am a huge music junkie and everyday I am literally listening to new music and searching for new ideas.  I have always been like this and expanding my taste and genres of music has always been something I love doing.  I feel it’s very important as a musician to listen to all types of music.

Q – What have you’ve heard about the Electronic Dance Music scene here & how was your experience in India?

A – This was my 5th time visiting India and I love every minute I’m in your country!!  I have heard many great things about Goa but sadly have never been there yet.  I hear Psy Trance is big in India and this past week when I played at Sunrise Festival in Pondicherry I dropped some Psy Trance tracks that I could tell the crowd really loved!  I’m also a big Bollywood fan so I would love to incorporate some Bollywood samples over tracks that I play!

Q – Tell us about your inspiration for Jose Amnesia feat. Jennifer Rene – Louder!

A – Now you’re really taking it back!  Louder was my first song ever in the dance community and one that happened in such a special way.  I went and bought this cheap microphone from the store, got home and recorded this simple vocal sample, the very first vocal sample I ever recorded, and sent it to this guy who knew a guy who happened to be Jose Amnesia.  Next thing you know Jose has turned the vocal sample into this beautiful song and it’s getting signed by Armin himself!  I’ll never forget that phone call that I got that said Armin was going to be testing out “Louder” in the club.  It felt so surreal!  The inspiration behind “Louder “is about not being afraid to tell someone how you really feel about them.

Q – We have heard you are into producing tracks, so when is your own single making a debut?

A – I most definitely want to learn and am going to learn how to produce my own music.  I’m a bit of a control freak anyways and wanting to do everything myself has it’s advantages and disadvantages.  I would love to create my own music though with the thoughts and melodies that are in my head.  It’s a hard process to learn and not one that is going to happen overnight.  With everything else that I have going on I haven’t been able to tackle producing full time yet but it’s definitely something I want to pursue for the future.

Q – What is your message to all your fans here in India?

A – India Music Lovers!!!  I can’t tell you how thankful I am to have gotten the opportunity to visit and play in your beautiful country several times.  Thank you to all of you that have come out and support me and cheered me on.  Thank you for your lovely facebook, twitter, instagram, and other social media comments and posts.  Thank you for streaming and supporting my music.  Without you guys I wouldn’t be here!!!  Hope to be back in India again soon.
