Lots of DJ’s themselves dont like DJ Mag Top 100

Earlier it was considered to be a poll that actually scored DJs on their DJ’ing ability which now turned into a popularity poll, based on who has the biggest tracks… or the marketing budget.

Large no. of DJ’s actually create marketing campaigns for votes, which ultimately leads to higher booking fees. Laidback Luke, has never put any money in getting votes for the poll.

Luke revealed that point which most of fans are missing out – when we vote for your favorite DJs and DJ’s rank higher, then we’re going to end up paying more to see them. And they’ll probably end up doing fewer small, local shows, as well.

“Now who pays these fees? Is it the promoters? No my dear viewers, it’s you paying the higher price.”
