Space Ibiza, the ultimate destination of dance music around the world. Space Ibiza was located on the island of Ibiza, on the outskirts of Town, close to the airport in Spain. It was started in 1986 and shut down in  2016. In 2005, 2006, 2012, and in 2013 it was awarded as “Best Global Club” at the International Dance Music Awards.

Space was first opened in summer of 1986. The party-goers were able to take advantage of the waterslides at night. “We Love Sundays” was the weekly party which opens at 4.30 pm on Sunday and keeps going until 6 AM Monday morning. The event runs used to go for 16 weeks throughout the summer season.

Carl Cox was the most associated with Space for around 15 years. When Pepe Rosello stepped down from the club, Carl Cox decided to move on and played a nine-hour final set in September 2016. Compilations were released every year via the Azuli label earlier and now with CR2 Records.
