Jack Ü, the American duo of Skrillex and Diplo as a side project was literally one of the best duo EDM World ever witnessed. Jack Ü raised bars of all Trap and Bass acts across the globe. Literally, they set high and unmatchable standards for all other DJ’s. According to Skrillex, their collab was called ‘Jack Ü’ because it refers to how the music ‘jacks you up’ with its high energy beats and bass line.
Jack Ü was not only about Skrillex and Diplo, but it comprises of live acts by various artists. Skrillex and Diplo get on stage lots of artist on their shows, showing their love and respect for other artists. In all sets, Jack U ever played, the crowd was always witnessed to be full energetic, hyped and full power. Jack Ü released their debut album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü on 27 February 2015. It was their only album which was ever released.
Later on in 2016 after performing at a string of UK festivals such as Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, and Bramham Park, Skrillex announced that the duo played their final show of 2016. In a deleted tweet, he wrote, “Just did out Last jack Ü festivals of 2016 …and for a long long time. thank you for all the people who came out to support us. “
Earlier in January this year, Diplo blamed major labels like Atlanta Records for discontinuing Jack U. Since then fans are waiting for their reunion, as fans across the world including me cannot recover from their sets.
Recently Diplo released ‘Get It Right’ with “MO”. The ASCAP Repertory report lists Diplo as the “Performer” and Sonny Moore as one of the collaborating writes. Wait What? Skrillex helped write ‘Get It Right.’
