Hardwell has been one of the pioneers of Electronic Dance music and one of the major influences in the industry for the past several years. His dedication to the industry, his philanthropic activities with the United We Are Foundation, his music label, his radio show and his releases have all been amazing. His music has been claimed to bring out positivity among most of his huge dedicated fanbase.

All of this inspired us to collect a few facts you probably didn’t know about DJ Hardwell:-
1) Hardwell is a huge fan of hip hop & his favourite artist and dream collaboration is Dr Dre
2) Hardwell is a football fan and a huge follower of Football Club Barcelona and Lionel Messi.
3) Hardwell played a charity event for the Johan Cruyff foundatiom at the United Nations Headquarters in New York which was about how football promotes peace. The event also featured ex footballers like Frank Rijkaard, Aron Winter & Kanu.
4) In 2015, when he was the number 1 DJ of the world he played the prom party of the school he had studied in. (Graaf Engelbrecht, Breda) Imagine having the number one DJ of the world play at your prom party.
5) Before getting his first international gig, he had already played over 500 gigs in Holland. This shows that success in any field takes a lot of passion, hardwork, patience & dedication.
These next five facts will signify the love he shares for India:-
 
6) Hardwell played his single Young Again with Chris Jones for the first time ever at his IAmHardwell show in Delhi back on 26th September, 2014. That night Hasit Nanda, the pianist from Noida also did a cover of this track which was then reposted by Hardwell. The repost got him a lot of attention and kickstarted a successful career for him. This also shows how Hardwell loves to promote upcoming talent.
7) Hardwell didn’t charge any fees for playing the World’s Biggest Guestlist in Mumbai in December on 13th December, 2015
8) With the World’s Biggest Guestlist, they raised enough money to educate 18000 children in India through the Magic Bus Foundation. That is roughly 10% of the population of Hardwell’s hometown, Breda.
9) Hardwell wasn’t the first choice to do the World’s Biggest Guestlist. Three other DJ’s were approached before him (as claimed by Sunburn inceptor Shailendra Singh at the AMF conference in Mumbai last year). The other artists declined. Then Hardwell and his management was given the idea of doing such an event to which they agreed instantly.

10) When Hardwell played his Go Hardwell or Go Home event in Delhi on 1st October, 2016 he expressed his love for India by saying the following words, ‘You can ask every DJ in the world, this is the best country to play.’
