French DJ and Producer DJ Snake recently visited Bangladesh in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Rohingya refugees . He was here to bring the world’s attention to the one million plus Rohingya refugees from Myanmar who are being forced to live an inhumane life in Bangladesh . They live in squalor in the largest refugee camp in the world .

The Rohingya are a unique ethnic group that has been denied citizenship by law in Myanmar since 1982 . The mostly Muslim , minority Hindu peoples have faced harsh crackdowns by Myanmar authorities over the decades , leading the United Nations to name the Rohingya one of the most persecuted minorities in the world in 2013 . The number of displaced Rohingya reached crisis levels in 2016 , and the situation has only worsened .

Love Army , an activist network, was also accompanying the Grammy-nominated producer in the brief visit to Bangladesh .

The international superstar along with the activist network Love Army live-streamed on Tuesday , which started at 7 a.m. Parisian time, 11:30 a.m. IST with the the Rohingya refugees in their camps to spread awareness as well as raise resources for the stateless minority which in turn would help them in providing better education , food , water , medicines , shelter and more .

After shedding a light on the misery and hardship of the stateless minorities in a Twitter video message on Tuesday, Snake asked people to side with them and called for donations.

The 31-year-old termed it as a “human to human” aid.
