Apple confirmed this Monday that they are going to acquire Shazam, the music recognition app. Shazam is a must for anyone who is always on the lookout for new music, or for any music lover in general.
Seems like siri is going to have a sharper ear to recognise music and also a bigger database that would give better results. The terms of this deal aren’t disclosed yet, but TechCrunch reported that the deal is finalised at about $400 million. Shazam app is reportedly downloaded over a billion times.
It sure looks like Apple is looking to add to it’s range and provide a better product to the consumer.
