Wiz Khalifa is set to play at the Timeout 72 festival on the 28th of December in Goa. This will mark his debut performance in India. This will be the first time that a star from the Rap industry will hit the goan shores to perform at a festival. This is what would make Timeout 72 an unmissable event. 1) His first album was signed to Warner Bros. Records back in 2007.
2) He is very open about his use of weed. Earlier, he has claimed to have spent about $10000 monthly on smoking weed.
3) Since 2014, Wiz does not have to spend any money on buying weed, ‘The Cookie Company’ sponsors it since they sell his signature ‘Khalifa Kush’, which Wiz partnered with RiverRock cannabis to create.
4) The Pittsburg City council had declared 12-12-12 as the Wiz Khalifa day in the city.
5) Khalifa released ‘See You Again’, the soundtrack of the film ‘Fast & Furious 7’ back in 2015. The track held the number one spot on the US Billboard Top 100 for 12 consecutive weeks.
6) This was a tie for the longest running rap number one in the country with Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’.
7) Wiz had his parents support in his smoking habits. He started smoking at a very young age & his father didn’t like it initially, but his mother smoked weed herself so she didn’t mind. After a while they noticed that the weed didn’t affect his productivity so they were okay with it.
