Artento Divini Talks About His Recent Release On Coldharbour Recordings

Dutch Trance & Progressive superstar Artento Divini has striked again with his latest single titled Mangrove on Markus Schulz’s label Coldharbour Recordings. Label which is known for its deep, dark and juicy sounds and delivering a track like Mangrove on this, we think Artento did a very fine job living on to the expectations and meeting with label’s sounds.

And with the release, it was a perfect time to chat along with one of our very good friend in person.

What is the Inspiration behind Mangrove??

Well, when I finished my first 138 BPM Psy-Trance track ‘Bengaluru’ (signed on WAO138) I needed something different, something complete the opposite.
I used a remix by Cosmic Gate of Gabriel & Dresden – Only Road a few times in my sets and noticed the impact of it, the production is so good and was a great inspiration for ‘Mangrove’.

Why especially chosen Coldharbour Recordings for releasing this one?
It’s nice to release tracks by Armada but, not always big means better.
I don’t say that Coldharbour is not big, it’s huge and highly regarded and I’m very grateful to have signed two tracks on this imprint ‘Mangrove’ and a collaboration.
Markus is giving me a big support on ‘Mangrove’ at the moment, almost in every set last two months including his Tomorrowland set and when you go more progressive then i think Coldharbour is the best.

What is the reason behind keeping the title ‘Mangrove’?
In 2002 I lived for few months in Brazil in the capital city of the Amazonas, Manaus.
Been a few times in the forest and that time I was really impressed about the trees that grows in coastal saline or brackish water.Last year when I was in Suriname with my family I saw them again, and it was really fascinating to see how these trees start growing and how important they are for the eco-system.

Can you please tell us something about the melody in the breakdown, its so graceful.
How I describe the melody in the breakdown, well it should be a perfect anthem break 🙂 It’s coming from nowhere and bamm, powerful chords right into your face for that euphoric moment.A build and, as you expect, the beats will increase the melody during the drop.
