Art and culture are synonymous with electronic dance music, and over the years, they’ve become influential forces behind the rise of this global phenomenon. In India, they are intertwined more intimately than previously imagined, with the need for expression being channeled viscerally through dance music culture. With this in mind, Social and Regenerate present the second edition of Far Out Left, a boutique two-day dance music experience to be held at the iconic Great Eastern Home grounds, in the city of Mumbai. After an unbelievable and eye-opening first year, the festival is back to the incredible space with a bigger and better experience aimed at encouraging electronic music inclusivity, the promotion of genre-agnostic sounds, and an unrivaled city festival experience.

The first edition of the festival attracted over 1,200 attendees from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Goa over two days. Now, next month it is set to make its return to the grounds of the iconic Great Eastern Home. but lost to the stifling homogeneity of the ubiquitous cement and steel urban landscape. High ceilings, aged wooden beams, cast-iron columns, exposed brick and stone walls, and a lake have all been restored with minimal intervention, present a charming backdrop to a magnificent ensemble. It inspires an overarching feeling of stepping into a delightful world of treasures.

For the sophomore edition, they have locked down prolific acts such as Octave One (LIVE), Roman Flügel, Anastasia Kristensen, DVS1, DJ Soulseek, Identified Patient & many more. Far Out Left 2019 will tie-up with the infamous global dance music online radio channel Red Light Radio – based in Amsterdam – to add an international lens through which the festival will be viewed, promoted, and heard. RLR will live stream a bunch of local artists playing the festival from different locations on the site.  Apart from hosting the who’s who of the international dance music community, Red Light Radio also serves as a platform for established and upcoming labels, artists, and collectives to showcase their sounds and inspirations. RLR comes alive in India for the first at the festival, with a dedicated festival stage featuring hand-picked international as well as homegrown talent.
