Social media has become an unavoidable part of dance music in the past decade, as with most of our lives. While it acts as a great tool to bridge the gap between DJs/Producers and listeners, helping the artists to market themselves better and fans to share their own experiences; but there is a question of how much use of it is too much? The list of underlying negative consequences of active as well as passive social media usage is long. At a time when event promoters analyze an artist’s social media platforms to make booking decisions, the artists have to stay active on social media platforms to keep in touch with their fans, build their persona and advertise their music.

The 40-minute long riveting documentary explores the pros and cons of social media on electronic music by addressing issues like the lack of connection between DJ & crowd due to the use of phones, dependency on social media for career growth and of course – the impact on the mental health of DJs.
