Chicago’s iconic Lollapalooza sadly won’t be returning to the Grant Park this year. The 4-day musical extravaganza was set to take place in late July to celebrate its massive 30th Anniversary but due to the current COVID-19 outbreak situation, the Chicago authorities ordered the cancellation of all the upcoming events. Every year the festival hosts performances from more than 170+ acts drawing a massive crowd of 100,000 people.
With all the major festivals announcing their Virtual Events, Lollapalooza is the latest festival to join the list. On the originally scheduled dates, the festival is set to broadcast a weekend-long virtual event that will include performances from around the city and beyond, epic archival sets from Chicago, and the festival’s six international editions, never-before-seen footage from the 1990s and much more.
