The electronic music industry was growing and prospering across the world until the COVID-19 outbreak brought major restrictions on clubs, festivals & events across the world impacting the artists, organizers & all the people associated with it. In the past six months, the electronic music industry has gone through a number of transformations such as adapting the ‘virtual’ mode (Virtual Festivals, Livestreams), limited people events with social distancing but such changes won’t help to sustain the people working in the live music industry it might help the artists, festival organizers but not everyone. The documentary produced by the world’s leading DJ Equipment manufacturer Pioneer DJ titled ‘DISTANT DANCEFLOORS: COVID-19 and the Electronic Music Industry’ discusses the future that holds for the electronic music industry due to COVID-19 pandemic.
