The Bonţida estate owned by Banffy came to life after two years of waiting. A sound, light, and color exhibition called Electric Castle has begun, featuring over 300 performers from 24 different nations.

Season tickets have been reserved by tens of thousands of individuals. The first attendees came, settled down, and enjoyed the first full evening of the festival’s five fantastic days.

The 8th edition of Electric Castle began on Wednesday, and in addition to the 100 hours of live music performed by performers from 24 different nations, there will also be dozens of hours of entertainment provided by the organizers’ surprises.

The festival’s opening night came to a close when one of the stages got its power turned on. Thousands of participants were initially confused by what was happening, but to break the awkward quiet they started to hum, “an elephant swayed on a spider’s web.”

Trains that stop close to the Banffy estate can be used to travel to Bonţida. Additionally, starting in Cluj-Napoca, the organizers have prepared special trainers. Ten settings have been set up, and Peggy Gou, Deftones, and Disclosure are among the expected singers.

Renate Rozenberg, PR for Electric Castle:

Five days of nonstop music. Over 300 painters, including well-known figures, are included. Everybody can always find a location to feel good about their buddies at a 40-hectare event.

On Sunday night, the excitement at Banffy Castle in Bonţida will come to a close. One-day passes are available for 70 euros.
