Where do we stand on Summer of 2022?
For three days, the 24 hectares of the Stirbey Estate were transformed into a magical place thanks to the work of more than 30 artists. Music, artwork, and individuals who were moved by Summer Well’s one-of-a-kind rhythms and vitality. There were more than 80,000 people present during the course of the three days. They managed to make this year’s festival, its eleventh, the most popular and most sought-after in the festival’s history.
The Arctic Monkeys‘ performance at Summer Well 11 was a highlight, since they were the biggest band to play in Romania in 2022 and their set at the Stirbey Domain attracted a record crowd while a lightning spectacular was filmed in the backdrop by the festival’s photographers.
On the last day of the festival, co-headliners Nothing But Thieves surprised the audience by bringing out the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra for an emotional performance.
On the other hand, Orange has continued to wow this year’s audience with its unexpected twists and turns since the inaugural edition with Summer Well. Everything from large-scale digital installations to augmented and virtual reality applications, festival tattoos, technology-enhanced football, and headphones that mitigate noise pollution to ensure the safety of young children.
The success of the 2018 edition has encouraged us to focus even more closely on the long-term sustainability objective we set for ourselves. Everyone wants to do their part to protect the environment, therefore organizers of this year’s event took the initiative to reduce their carbon footprint by purchasing carbon offsets.
