Manchester-born DJ Frameworks teaches mindfulness.
The expressive producer has performed at Coachella, Electric Forest, Lightning In A Bottle, Camp Bisco, and Shambhala, collaborated with Island Records‘ JP Cooper and Ninja Tune’s Jono McCleery, and supported Emancipator on a European tour.
Frameworks is abandoning his downtempo, nostalgic style for an electronica-driven sound that emphasizes living in the now.
“BLUE LIGHT” a November collaboration with Cleopold, combined beautiful vocals, driving rhythms, and exquisite, melodic synth textures. Alexander Bather and Cameron Ward developed a stunning music video for the tune.
Now, Frameworks releases “NO TIME,” an immersive, club-ready track whose sense of motion and velocity delivers a convoluted, forward-moving listening experience. The music, written and recorded in the countryside, is a reminder to calm down, stop rushing, and enjoy life.
“NO TIME” begins with a guitar and strings loop and a quiet, thumping kick drum that gives the song its pulse. The music adds chopped vocal samples, powerful bass, driving percussion, and staccato synth melodies to create a cacophonous environment that emphasizes its message.
With heightened tension and danceable grooves, “NO TIME” is a humanistic accomplishment in two ways: its polished sense of hurriedness represents the overpowering feeling of hastiness and overthinking, while simultaneously providing the right sound basis for dancefloors everywhere.
