This was how Electric Castle participants lived until today’s 6:00 a.m. finale. In five days, 232,000 guests opted to experience the most sophisticated editions organised to far, which mobilised amazing logistics and human resources.
The 323 performers from 27 countries, from Chile to Mongolia, were chosen to satisfy a public eager to discover and support not only famous names but also talented newcomers to the music industry. The organisers’ winners included Queralt Lahoz, Noga Erez, and Brutus, who filled the Hangar scene on their first visit to Romania. EC #9 crowd records were set by Macklemore, Iggy Pop, and Subcarpathi.

The Electric Castle organisation employs 4,000 employees to make festivalgoers’ lives easier. Nearly 1,000 of them, including Turks and Swiss, volunteer to have fun.
It was the festival’s hottest edition, but the audience followed the organisers’ advice and stayed cool. At the festival, more than 50,000 litres of water were consumed, and more than 100 kilogrammes of ice cream were sold.
The reverse counting for EC #10 begins after EC #9! First, general cleaning after the celebration. Through the campaign Let’s trash the rubbish!, 50 volunteers from MHP Consulting Romania, the festival’s sustainability partner, will join the specialised teams. Maintain cleanliness. After that, the grass carpet will be replaced on the afflicted surfaces, and a new phase of planting will begin in the campground area in autumn as part of the organisers’ goal to plant over 10,000 trees in EC Village in two years.

Electric Castle began selling limited-edition subscriptions for its 10th issue today. 79 Euro + costs for a single subscription to 200 Euro + fees for Premium tickets. As a novelty, multi-risk subscriptions could keep festivalgoers away. Subscriptions range from 30 to 75 Euro plus costs.
