The third edition of the “Beach, Please!” festival has wrapped up in spectacular fashion, setting a new benchmark for music festivals worldwide. With Travis Scott drawing a record-breaking crowd of over 120,000 fans on the final night, the festival’s success is undeniable. Organizers are already gearing up for an even more impressive event in 2025, with early ticket sales indicating massive anticipation.

Co-founder Andrei Șelaru, popularly known as Selly, expressed his gratitude and excitement about the festival’s growth. “I want to start by thanking all the participants. I am impressed by the audience’s dedication and moved to see how far we have come in just three years. No one would have believed that Costinești would become the global epicenter of urban music. After a year of hard work, we had many emotions, but here we are at the end of a very successful event. And we’re not stopping here. We’re already working on next year’s edition, which will be even bigger and better,” he declared.

The 2024 lineup featured an impressive array of artists, including Anitta, Yeat, Swae Lee, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, 6ix9ine, NLE Choppa, and Rich the Kid, who all brought electrifying performances to the festival from July 10 to 14. Each day saw an average of over 100,000 festival-goers, with notable peaks such as Yeat’s 60,000-strong audience, Anitta’s 90,000 fans, and Wiz Khalifa captivating over 100,000 attendees. Travis Scott’s performance, despite a three-hour delay due to travel issues, saw the highest turnout, with more than 120,000 fans packed into the main stage area.

The artists themselves were visibly impressed with the festival’s atmosphere. Anitta, the Brazilian queen of twerk, shared her affection for the Romanian crowd on social media, saying, “Romania, you’ve stolen my heart! Thanks for all the love last night.” Similarly, half-Romanian rapper Yeat expressed his love for his heritage during his performance, telling the crowd, “România, te iubesc!” (Romania, I love you!).Looking ahead, the organizers have ambitious plans for 2025. Over 50,000 tickets were sold during the initial pre-sale period, reflecting the festival’s soaring popularity. The next edition promises an even more intense experience, with an increased budget of 10 million euros, up 30% from the previous year. “If this year we paid seven million euros for the festival artists, in 2025 we’re increasing the budget to 10 million euros. We want the festival experience to be unforgettable, even better than the 2024 edition, because we aim to evolve every year. We have unlimited ideas!” added Selly. The festival’s 21-hectare venue made it the largest festival in Romania, complemented by a specially designed 50-hectare parking area. Over 2,000 people worked tirelessly to bring the event to life. Initially launched as a beach party in 2022, “Beach, Please!” has evolved into a cultural phenomenon for young people, becoming the largest urban festival in Eastern Europe.

The event’s online presence also saw a significant boost, with the festival’s social media channels experiencing explosive growth. The TikTok account @beachplease surpassed one million followers, while the Instagram account garnered nearly half a million followers, making it the most followed festival account in Romania. Additionally, those who couldn’t attend in person had the opportunity to watch live streams on the official YouTube channel. With such overwhelming success and a strong foundation, “Beach, Please!” 2025 is set to surpass all expectations, continuing its journey as a leading force in the global music festival scene.
