Between February 11–16, Buenos Aires became the epicenter of electronic music as Buenos Aires Dance (BAD) united artists, industry leaders, and fans for a week of cutting-edge programming. The city hosted a dynamic mix of curated experiences, professional development sessions, intimate pop-ups, and headline DJ performances from international icons such as Richie Hawtin, Indira Paganotto, and Carlita and many more.

For seven days, BAD reshaped the capital into an open-air cultural platform, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and artistic exploration. The program welcomed DJs, producers, label executives, promoters, managers, bookers, and educators from around the world, creating a truly global exchange. More than 2,000 attendees participated in panels and masterclasses held February 12–13 at the landmark Usina del Arte, setting the stage for ULTRA Buenos Aires, which followed on February 14–15 at Parque de la Ciudad.

Throughout the week, exclusive pop-up performances animated some of the city’s most recognizable locations. Richie Hawtin delivered a special set at Floralis Genérica alongside a custom “El Preferido” ice cream activation. The following day, Indira Paganotto performed at Caminito, while Carlita took over Puente de la Mujer for a unique open-air session. Fans also had the opportunity to meet Above & Beyond during a special gathering at the Obelisco on February 16.

Alongside Hawtin, Paganotto, and Carlita, contributors included Fran Bortolossi, Kolombo, Miguel Bastida, and respected local figures such as Jay De Lys, Juan Hansen, Emiliano Demarco, and Mariano Mellino, reinforcing ties between Latin America and the broader global scene.

A dedicated “Women in Music” panel spotlighted voices including Victoria Engel, Inda Jani, La Cintia, and Lolu Menayed, reflecting the industry’s growing commitment to gender equality. Major organizations such as Ableton, Billboard, Sony Music Entertainment, Spotify, Ultra Records, and William Morris Entertainment also took part in the conference program.

Beyond the official agenda, additional performances unfolded at some of Buenos Aires’ most beloved venues, featuring artists including Dom Dolla, Charlotte de Witte, Joseph Capriati, O.Bee, Tomas Station, Indira Paganotto, and Massano.

To summarize, BAD’s first edition was definitely a great event with discovery of many amazing and hidden gems in shape of music, masterclass, conferences and a lot more.
