In July 2026, Bulgaria claims its place on the international music map with the launch of PhillGood, a three-day festival taking over Plovdiv from 17–19 July. Led by global icons The Cure, Gorillaz, and Moby, the event arrives at a transformative time for the country as it enters the Eurozone, rolls out a digital nomad visa, and gains recognition as one of Europe’s most exciting cultural hotspots.
Hosted beside Plovdiv’s celebrated Rowing Canal and surrounded by the city’s seven hills, PhillGood turns one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities into the Balkans’ newest large-scale live music destination. The setting is unmistakable with ancient Roman landmarks, Ottoman-era architecture, and a dynamic contemporary arts scene form a dramatic backdrop for an ambitious new festival experience.

The festival opens with The Cure performing in Bulgaria for the first time, joined by UK indie favourites Wolf Alice, Ireland’s atmospheric Just Mustard, and French darkwave producer Perturbator. The following evening sees Gorillaz deliver their immersive audiovisual spectacle, supported by outspoken Belfast rap trio Kneecap and Nottingham electro-punk act Sleaford Mods. Closing the weekend, Moby brings decades of pioneering electronic music to the stage, capping off three nights of genre-spanning performances. In addition to the main arena, two further stages spotlight emerging artists and eclectic sounds, underscoring PhillGood’s focus on discovery as much as star power.
