With a successful wrap at a different location of Virginia Key where Ultra was held & now the world’s premier festival will be making its most awaited return to its home in Miami. It is indeed a remarkable development for Ultra as the issue was brought up on Thursday during the Miami City Commission meeting.Commissioners on Thursday approved an agreement to allow the three-day electronic dance music event to return to Bayfront Park for a weekend in March 2020.

Although a lot of issues cropped up during its edition at the new location this year they managed to achieve another goal of reducing solid waste and pollution. Ultra took measures to prevent environmental damage by prohibiting beach access; increasing water refill stations; banning Styrofoam, plastic straws, balloons, confetti, and streamers; phasing out plastic bags, and distributing free pocket ashtrays.

Here’s the official announcement:

Ultra Music Festival is scheduled to take place from March 27th-29th, 2020. For more information, visit the event website.
